How To Care For Your Investment

Love Photography is committed to offering the highest quality products from the finest professional labs and suppliers in Australia. To keep your artwork beautiful for all time, please follow these simple rules…

Since Prints and Canvases are not waterproof, care should be taken to avoid subjecting your art to moisture. Store and display your images in a low humidity environment where temperature remains moderate and not extreme.

Our acrylic prints are waterproof, however, it is not recommended to get them wet and they are never to be mounted outdoors. Our metallic prints are perfect for outdoor areas and can be mounted both indoors and outdoors and also in wet areas.

Over time, intense light may cause colour in canvases, acrylics, metallics and prints to fade. For this reason, I suggest keeping all products out of direct sunlight and clear from reflected light from mirrors. Even though your professional grade canvases, acrylics and metallics are rated for 70 years, you must always ensure you look after them as directed.

Heat can be an images worst enemy. I recommend keeping all products away from direct heat from sources such as fireplaces and radiators as well as ensuring that decorative items like candles are not placed near your artwork.

Avoid touching canvases and prints directly with your hands. Over a prolonged period, the natural oils on your skin can damage the protective coatings and eventually degrade the inks and/or the canvas itself. To clean, use a clean, dry, lint-free cloth or feather duster to keep your canvas and prints dust free.

Photo books and albums should be stored flat to protect the spine. Avoid resting anything heavy on your beautiful photo book and/or album. Do not get the pages wet. If you do, remove any excess water from them quickly and let the book dry before closing it. Store the book and/or album in a dry and moderately cool place as extreme heat and humidity will adversely affect your products.

Digital files (or USB drives) should be backed up and saved. I recommend storing it in a different location than the original location you stored the digital files. Be sure to store your USB in the provided case to avoid damage and store it in a dry safe place. If printing, I have some suggested labs for your printing needs. However, I cannot guarantee colour/quality from any lab unless those prints are purchased directly through Love Photography.
